MisMitts is a design by Tina Whitmore that allows one to "play" with colors on a small scale, knitting a wonderful pair of fingerless mitts.  This is a great summer project; no only small and easily portable but great for getting a headstart on the gifting season to come.

Get your pattern directly from Tina either on her Ravelry page here or her website. What we offer is the exact yarn to duplicate the look you see pictured on this page.

Tina calls these "Long Cuff Fingerless Gradient Mismate Mitts+";.  They are purposely made so as to look different one to the other while still looking "right" together.  In other words, fraternal twins, not identical ones.

She also gives this note:

Gloves are written for a left and right handed version. For the left mitt MC is the background and CC is for the overlay stitches. For the right mitt, the MC and CC are reversed, so your new MC is the CC from the first mitt.

Always carry overlay color (CC) behind slipped stitches (MC) on pattern rounds. When selecting with which end to start on the gradient yarn for the overlay stitches, pick the end of the second gradient ball with the most contrast to the MC yarn.

The ones shown in the photos here were knit with one each of Friea Fine Handpaints Ombre Fingering Minikins, one in Hard Candy and one in Aloha.  Each are 25g and with about 107 yards.

The color postions are reversed for the second mitt.

Our new kits will consist of one ball each of Blue Velvet (turquoise gradually blending into blue and then violet) and Cochinilla (fuchsia into red-violet deepening to an almost-black).

Note that some of the balls are wound in the opposite direction and have the other end of the colorway on the outside.

These new colors can be seen in the inset photo on the top picture and again below that.
