The Design

Here is what Pope writes:

Yarn and Colorway

We put together kits using MadelineTosh's Tosk DK yarn, 100% merino wool with 225 yards/ 115g skein.  You can see our yarn (with some beads sprinkled on it) in the lower part of the top photo on this page and again below that.

The colorway is called R:E:D and is a tonal blend of turquoise in varying intensities, some pale, some deeper, shot through with periodic splashes and speckles of golden brown. 

Beads

Though the beads are labeled as "optional" they will be included in each kit.

To make the cowl as written, one needs 492 size 6/0 beads to be exact but we will include roughly 50g which will give you closer to 600 beads -- it is always best to have extra. 

Personally I like the idea of either golden beads or deep turquoise with this yarn colorway though I think there are others that could looks very fine indeed.  If you have a preference, let me know.  Otherwise I will choose for you.
