Another fun fun fun mitten design by Barbara Gregory (and with a great name too)!
The originals were knit in fingering weight wool. It is probably best to try to have on hand about 220 yards of each colorway (the mittens take two).
Here is what Barbara says:
Pretty little puffs of patternwork on the the most magical of mittens.
The size of the mittens is determined by both stitch count and gauge. Choose from the larger or smaller chart and adjust size by the choice of needle size.
These mittens are worked in Fair Isle-style stranded colorwork. The color pattern is given in chart form only. The mittens have gusseted thumbs and are worked in the round from cuff to tip.
