We just had to put together yet another set of kits for this gorgeous beaded cowl!
*****
This beautiful catch-your-breath gorgeous beaded cowl design by Lily Go, called Poinsettia, started its life as a Mystery Knit Along. Well, the mystery is over and the cowl revealed in full. It is really a strikingly lovely piece!
The Design
Here is what Lily writes:
Poinsettia is a stunning cowl with a bold textural lace pattern with beads. It looks good in any weight of yarn. This cowl is in the round on a circular needle and requires no seaming or grafting. You can choose to knit with or without beads. Perfect gift for your love one or you can keep it for yourself.
Pattern includes charts and row by row written directions. If you would like to add beads to your cowl, instructions are included as to where to place the beads.
Yarn and Colorways
Lily says that this lovely cowl can be knit in Fingering/DK/Worsted weight yarns. What we offer on this page is a skein of beautiful fingering weight yarn from Juniper Moon Farm that we think will look awesome.

Our kits are made up in your choice of Juniper Moon's Moonshine Fine or Moonshine Fine Paints. Both are 30% baby alpaca + 30% wool + 25% nylon+ 15% silk -- the yarn really feels amazing. Each skein has 437 yards/ 100g.
1. This is the solid colorway called Blushing Bride, a lovely richly rosy pink.
2. Our second kit is Moonshine Fine Paints, a variegated colorway called Mountains Majesty. I see a range of colors that blend one into the next including grey and salmon and pink and fuchsia and red-violet. You see from the photo of Lily's original that a variegated colorway can work here.
You will have enough with one kit to knit any size you wish with one skein of either.

Beads
Yes, beads are optional but we will be including them in each kit. Lily specifies for the sizes listed above 240 (280, 320, 360. 400, 440, 480, 520) pcs size 6 seed beads.
Each kit will include 45g of size 6/0 beads which should give you roughly 540 beads, enough for any of the sizes.
If you have an idea or preference on color, tell me. Otherwise I will choose for you.
Pattern
The kit will not automatically include the pattern nor has the cost of the pattern been factored in.
You can get the pattern directly as a PDF file of the pattern from Lily via her Ravelry web page. If that is how you would like to go, then set the "Pattern" drop-down menu to "No Pattern Needed." This is what you should do if you prefer your patterns in the Ravelry library.
Alternatively, if you would rather have a printed copy, please make sure the "Pattern" drop-down menu is set to that and we'll get that to you in your kit.
We also provide the pattern as a PDF if you choose that option. (Note again, the pattern will not be saved in your Ravelry library but we'll make it available via earthfaire.com if you choose this option.)
