The Design

Here is what Amy writes:

A soothing and addictive knit -- pick your favorite yarn in your favorite colors and away you go! Simple garter stripes work up quickly with fun dashes of short row “beads” -- perfectly suited for anything from fingering weight to DK.

Yarn and Colorways

I chose the combo of colors used in this version of the shawl, by paintedspring (Rav name). This is shown in the top photo on this page, with permission.

This is not the same as the yarn or colors Amy used in her original but we also show these (with her permission) so you get a good idea of the design.

Our yarn is from The Alpaca Company and is a set of their min skeins that they call Mini Madness.  These are packs of 10 fingering weight mini-skeins, each 65% Superwash Wool, 20% Alpaca, 15% Nylon and totalling 1,100 yards/ 250g. 

This colorway is called Pop Beads: Peacock.

She wrote on her project page, "I used one of the Mini Madness packs to make this shawl. There are 10 mini skeins each with 110 yards. I used about 13-20 g each of 3 colors and 50 g of black and 75 g of light gray. I only used 3 of the 4 blue/green colors, but you could do all of them if you’d like. Easily done with what’s in the package."

Your kit will include one package of that exact colorway, ten skeins with 110 yards each.
