The Design
I quote the designer here:
The iconic Queen of Beads sock is now available again as the Queen of Beads Too, completely re-written, in a fresh, vastly improved format with new charts and photos!
This top-down sock requires beads to be strung before casting on, creating a queenly beaded brocade pattern on the leg, heel flap, and instep.
Option for high instep included, as well as easy instructions for a tubular cast on that you’ll want to use again and again.
Yarn and Colorways
All that is needed is (again I quote Sivia) any fingering weight sock yarn as long as it is firm, prefereably plied (not singles) and without knots.
We are not offering the same yarn as what Sivia used for her original socks. You can see ours in the inset photo (lower left-hand corner) in the top picture and again below that. The other photos show Sivia's original socks (used with her permission) and are there to show you the general design.
Our sock yarn is Danubio from Katia, each 75% wool + 25% nylon, and with 448 yards (410m) per 100g ball.
We offer your choice of three colorways:
We brought in three colorways:
1. #300: This is a very happy colorway. I see pink and maroon, celery and lime, navy and peach overall.
2. #301: This is the colorway shown in the project page we mention above. The main colors seem to be cream, gray, red-orange, goldenrod, and green-teal
3. #302: The main colors I see here are again cream but this time with blue, navy, lime, ochre and hunter green.

Beads
Beads are an integral part of this design. Sivia specifies size 6/0 beads, between 28 and 30 grams depending on the size you knit.
We will include 35 grams so you'll have some extra. Plus a dental floss threader for stringing the beads.
If you have a preference for your bead color, tell me. Otherwise I will choose for you.
The Pattern
Please note that the pattern is not automatically included in this particular Kit.
You might like to purchase it directly from Sivia’s Ravelry Store which will place the pattern in your Ravelry Library.
If you would rather have a printed copy, please make sure the "Pattern" drop-down menu is set to that and we'll get that to you in your kit.
We also provide the pattern as a PDF if you choose that option. (Note again, the pattern will not be saved in your Ravelry library but we'll make it available via earthfaire.com if you choose this option.)
