A new sock pattern from jackie E-S, these Red Hots Anklets are a great little project. Jackie says "Red Hots Anklets are named after the small nuggets of the popular cinnamon-flavored candy. The pattern stitch incorporates wrapped stitches to simulate the candy nuggets."
The sizes run a large range, including adult small [medium, large] to fit 8 [9, 10]" foot circumference slightly stretched; with finished measurements of
cuff/leg height: 4¼" above start of heel flap;
foot length: 8½ [9½, 10¾]" or to desired measurement.
Suggested yarn is fingering weight approximately 250 [300, 350] yards. The photo here shows them knit in size medium using Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock yarn, color #630 Bittersweet. Choose any yarn and colorway that appeals to you.
Gauge 8 stitches per inch over stockinette stitch
Suggested Needles Size US 1 / 2.25 mm in your choice of double points or circular(s) for knitting in the round
You also would want to have on hand extra short double point needle in same size as above and at least 2 stitch markers plus a tapestry needle for joining toe stitches and finishing ends.
