A new colorway in a really delicious yarn! I wish you could feel this. It looks rather basic, a tweedy worsted weight, but the hand is simply delicious.
Saxony is 75% cashmere and 25 % extra fine merino. Each skein has 120 yards (110m)/ 50g.
I quote Juniper Moon Farm here:
Luxurious blend of cashmere and extrafine merino combine to deliver elegance and a classic tweed look and feel. Cashmere provides the luxe while extrafine merino provides multicolor wooly nubs throughout. Perfect for super high-end garments and accessories at a user-friendly worsted weight gauge.
The merino wool means it has memory and will keep its shape (and warmth). The cashmere is also warm and oh-so-absolutely-delightfully-soft.
This new colorway (new for us, anyway) is called Bordeaux. It is a dark rich wine.

The last photo on this page shows a brioche knit hat I made for my son, combining Bordeaux and Obsidian. He wanted it very dark overall; I think it would also look great with Bordeaux and Abalone. (See these other Saxony colorways here.)
