Can you smell the Pumpkin Pie in the oven? And see the glorious Autumn foliage outside? The smell of wood smoke is in the air and the crispness brings rosiness to cheeks!
My favorite time of year.
And here from Susan Pandorf comes a Pumpkin Patch Scarf.
A simple concoction, using twisted stitches to create a gorgeous piece, this pattern is written so that you can use either a heavy worsted weight yarn for the scarf or fingering weight yarn.
How wonderful is that?!?
If you use the heavy worsted, then figure on about 650 yards to a gauge of 4 stitches to the inch on size 8 US (5mm) needles -- you'll get a finished size of roughly 12" x 60". If you choose to use fingering weight yarn, then go for 650 yards again, for a gauge of 5 stitches to the inch on US 3s and a finished size of 12" x 72".
Yum! Good enough to eat.
