A strikingly lovely design by Nim Teasdale, here is what she writes about Treeangle

Treeangle is a top-down triangle inspired by many magical hours walking in tall forests. It has a lightly cabled lace, with optional subtle beading, and an unusually constructed trunk for a spine.

The cables remind me of the branches and vines of forest growth, and the leaves have the spiky look of holly or pin oak from some angles, and from others, the round curves of birch or pear leaves.

This design is a collaboration with Naomi Parkhurst of Gannet Designs, using a stitch pattern she has created with the word Tree encoded into the placement of the yarn overs.

The Yarn and Colorway

This is not the same yarn that Nim used in her original.  You can see our yarn in the upper left-hand corner of the top photo and again below that.

Our yarn is from Araucania, one of their Huasco Sock Kettle Dyes, with intriguing variations on one color throughout.  The colorway is Verdigris, a tonal blend of varying depths of rich teals.

This is gorgeous.

Nim's original piece only used aobut 422 yards.  We will be including one skein in each kit, which will give you well more yardage than you need to duplicate her piece.

Beads

Beads are optional for this design but we are going to include a 25g container of size 6/0 beads, about 300 beads total.

If you have a preference for bead color, let me know.  Otherwise I will choose for you.

Pattern

The cost of the pattern has not been added to the cost of the kit.  We offer a few ways you can get it.

You might like to get it directly from Nim as a PDF file of the pattern via her Ravelry web page. If you do that, make sure the drop-down menu is set to "No Pattern Needed." And if you want the pattern saved in your Ravelry library, this is the way to go.

Alternatively, if you would prefer a printed copy, then the "Pattern" drop-down menu should be set to that.

We also can email the pattern to you (just be aware that it is not automatic; I have to manually send it to you and usually do that right before shipping your order).
