An absolutely gorgeous design by Maureen Mason-Jamieson.
I just fell in love...I literally gasped when I saw the pattern.
Eyelets and short rows combine in a circular shape scarf that settles round your shoulders in a lacy cloud.
The photo shows it flung over one shoulder but this whimsical scarf can be worn many ways: cascading down in natural ruffles front or back, draped in a cowl neck, as a capelet, and lots more! Anyway you wear this scarf adds an utterly feminine and charming accent.
Knitting Level - Intermediate
The finished size is 14" wide, 39" along the top edge, and 96" along the lower edge, after blocking.
The pattern reads as needing 650 yards of lace weight yarn and size 3.75 mm needles (US 5).
The photo to the upper right is one that Maureen did with a handpaint yarn. Below are two photos of the same design, but done with a solid color yarn and worn differently.
Lovely, no?
This gives you an idea of the kind of options you have and the glorious pieces you can make with just this one pattern.
