Another beautiful design by Nina Machlin Dayton, these mittens are again part of her most intriguing Dickensian Collection.
Here are a pair of mittens, designed with for great warm, and with beads for added color in the drabness of winter!
To quote Nina: Available in 4 sizes to fit children up through Adult Large these mittens have a contrasting color cuff and beaded ribbing that add a touch of glamour to your winter.
Figure on between 146 - 360 yards (134 - 329 m) in worsted weight yarn -- in two colors, one for the mitten and one for the cuff. (The cuff requires only 50 (65-88-120) yards in the contrasting colorway; the mitten body requiring the rest.)
Then select between 70 and 128 size 5/0 bead -- we carry that size in rounded triangle shapes -- which will be added to the mitten via the crochet hook method of adding beads. (That is why you need the larger sized beads.)
This is a most intriguing set of mittens to make and I think they will be very well received indeed. A great little gift.
